What is a Forum

A forum is a collection of topics containing user messages. Through Forum section Project.EDEN users can communicate each other. In particular, it consists of submitting posts (messages) that will be published in a common area.

A set of related posts is called thread; an initial post begins a discussion on a specific topic. Then several replies can follow referred to topic of the original message.

Forums are different from chats as the latter is a temporary conversation with no trace being left behind for others to review and therefore, it is less appropriate in group work environments.
